Collect the client's information, pull the right goods and services wording from the USPTO ID Manual, verify the mark, and get the client's sign-off before you prepare the filing.
The intake flow
Client, applicant, mark, and use information in one form.
Goods and services from the USPTO ID Manual, or start from an existing record.
Foreign wording, surnames, and living-person consent, checked from the form.
A client review form with a signature block, and a readiness tracker.
What it does
Search the ID Manual, tick the entries that fit, and the exact wording is added to the application by class. Custom or deleted entries are flagged for review.
Enter an application serial number to copy the owner details and goods and services into a new application for the same client. Dates of use and specimens are not copied.
Verify foreign wording and get a statement in the form of “The word ____ means ____ in a foreign language.” Verify a surname against U.S. Census data, then decide whether to include a living-person statement and record that you obtained signed consent.
See what percent of the application is ready, which items are missing, and whether each comes from the client or the attorney. Copy the list of missing items into an email to the client.
Download a client review form as a PDF or Word file with a checkbox for each section, space for corrections, and a signature block. Mark it received when it comes back.
Applicant details are saved to the client record, so the next application for the same client starts with their information already in place.
Application intake prepares the information and records the client's approval. It does not file anything with the USPTO. You review the application and file it yourself.
